 So without any long overture, let's find the 5 jewels of Bengali Film Industry in 2018.

 1. UMA
The magician Srijit Mukherjee knows how to 'bengalify' a story. Based on the true account of Evan Leversage, UMA is an emotional saga of love, promise & unbeatable soul. This cinematic brilliance is undoubtedly best outcome of 2018.

 2. SHONAR PAHAR
The genius actor Parambrata Chatterjee proved that as a director he too can create magic, thanks to the SHONAR PAHAR. A simple yet heart wrenching melody of transition, eternity & nostalgia. SHONAR PAHAR is among the finest Bengali films.

 3. AAMI JOY CHATTERJEE
This Manoj Michigan directorial is a rollercoaster psychological ride to find the soul of 'me' which has the perfect hearty essence. Kudos!

 4. GUPTODHONER SANDHANE
As the descendant of Feluda & Byomkesh the Bengali Film Industry came with another original detective - Sona Da. GUPTODHONER SANDHANE have all the need of the genre & it's a tribute to the glorious detective film making of Bengali industry.

 5. GHARE & BAIRE
Directed by Mainak Bhaumik, GHARE & BAIRE is an easy to connect, close to heart, Rom Com which will entertain you for sure.

 With the love of audience & commercial success, the experimental films are the clear winner. But the disappointing matter is some potent actors have been still doing typical 'mainstream' films with horrible titles! Audiences have no problem with mainstream, but there should be some story & logic! 

 Hope 2019 will gift us some masterpieces!
